Matt Spangler  •  Spangler Studio

2026

Founder Matt Spangler is an executive and entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience architecting marketing and creative teams that deliver high-velocity business impact. His career operates at the confluence of high-design, enterprise scale, and AI automation.

As the founding and only CMO in Compass history (2014–2022), Matt was the first marketing hire, scaling the brand from 50 employees to the #1 independent real estate company in America. He built a 400-person in-house marketing services group across 40+ US cities, overseeing every aspect of the brand as it grew to over $6 Billion in revenue and 30,000 agents. His work there was defined by building the "Sign of the Future"—a literal reinvention of the yard sign and a figurative blueprint for luxury-tech branding.

Prior to Compass, he served as EVP of Content & Marketing at Tribeca Enterprises, where he led brand and digital product development for the Tribeca Festival. He also founded Tribeca Studios, an early pioneer in long-form brand entertainment. The studio's first feature, We Could Be King (funded by Dick’s Sporting Goods), won an Emmy for Outstanding Sports Documentary and was distributed via ESPN, Netflix, and theatrical channels.

Matt’s entrepreneurial journey began as a co-founder of thehappycorp global, a design studio for clients like Apple and MoMA, and LVHRD, a renowned NYC creative "fight club." He began his career as a digital developer for Comedy Central, bringing South Park and The Daily Show to the web.

Today, he leads Agent Intelligence, where he translates two decades of enterprise strategy into actionable AI workflows for high-performing agents. He bridges the gap between traditional brand building and the technical frontier of chatGPT and Claude Code, helping the community move faster without sacrificing the "high-design" standards that drive premium business. Whether advising a DeFi protocol like the Uniswap Foundation, rebranding a modern brokerage like Newfront, or building his own business in Brooklyn, his focus remains constant: building brands and systems that move the needle.
